“Whatever your opinion of Authority Zero‘s music, you’d have a hard time denying their live shows are pretty impressive. The energy brought by the band is multiplied by the crowd ten fold, which feeds the band, and the cycle repeats. That has happened every single night I’ve seen them play without fail. This ended up being one of the last, if not the last show with Bill Marcks on guitar/vocals. If you’re a fan of the band, you’ll dig this recording of them on their home turf. I didn’t label the songs, but if you have a set list please post it or message me.”

“So it was settled. My best friend and I were going to the tenth anniversary of Edgefest at the Peoria Sports Complex! The excitement of the impending concert was all that possessed my brain for the next week.  I remember waiting in the long line of cars that were pulling into the Sports Complex, and wondering what the day would hold. I was not disappointed.  The bands of my youth were better than I dreamed possible. It was only my first concert, but every set I saw seemed to burn itself into my psyche forever. Brand New, The Format, Authority Zero, Rooney, Taking Back Sunday, and Dashboard Confessional. I remember being so close to Brand New, I could see the sweat falling from his hair as the lead singer pranced energetically around the stage.”

“Back when we started we didn’t have a care in the world. We were just mad at our parents, mad at the world and mad at cops who kept arresting us for skateboarding and smoking cigarettes,” frontman Jason DeVore says. “Now, it’s about trying to stay alive in the music industry and, you know, finding real jobs, having families and keeping it all together while we’re on the road.”
